Daily meals, consisting of a hot meal and a
breakfast/sandwich bag, are provided in three different diets,
including diabetic and low cholesterol. Meal recipients
also receive a week's supply of milk and orange juice.
Diets are prepared under the supervision of a professional
nutritionist.
There are several Meals on Wheels organizations throughout the
State of Delaware (and several thousand nationwide). Our
statewide agencies have no corporate affiliation with one
another but are all under contract with the State of Delaware,
Delaware Health and Social Services, Division of Services for
Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD).
DSAAPD is the primary source of program funding and the
provider of coordinated supervision and uniformity in
regulatory administration for all of the Delaware agencies.
